The Stacey Dash celebrity doll portrays her at 24 years old in the role of high school student Dionne Davenport in Amy Heckerling‘s coming-of-age 1995 classic comedy film Clueless. Mattel released the Dionne Black Label Barbie doll on July 10, 2025 as part of a two doll series to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Paramount film.  It retailed for $60.00 and was designed by Javi Meabe.

The Clueless Barbie series  includes two dolls: Cher Horowitz(Alicia Silverstone) and Dionne Davenport(Stacey Dash). 

Stacey Dash is an American actress known for her role in both movies and television. Her first major movie role was in Richard Pryor’s 1900 comedy Moving and her first television role was as Michelle, Denise’s friend, in NBC’s The Cosby Show.  In addition to her role in the 1995 teen movie hit Clueless, Dash played the same role in movie based Clueless TV sitcom which aired from 1996-1999 on ABC then UPN.

The movie version of the Stacey Dash doll comes wearing a replica of Dionne’s opening scene classic. The tailored black and white plaid suit is made with thin ripstop fabric with pattern stamped on the outside and white on the inside. The collar and front of the jacket are decorated and lined with black satin with no closure.  The matching mini skirt has a slit with uneven hemline in the front and opens in the back with Velcro.

Underneath the jacket and skirt is a white short-sleeved knit body suit and a separate cropped red knit vest. Both with Velcro openings in the back.   The show stopper that makes it iconic is the white plastic top hat with a black painted brim, ribbon and bow adorned by a large painted red rose in the center of the bow.  Black knee socks and black plastic platform shoes form the base.

The hair is rooted with long  dark brown two toned braids and the face is painted with green hazel eyes, a bright red lipstick open mouth, and white nose ring on the doll’s left nostril.  Dull gold plastic circle dangle earrings match the gold eye shadow.

Articulation is  Mattel Gigi body at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. High heeled feet with a stiff ankle.

The doll comes with a black plastic flip phone with silver painted button that really flips open.  Also included is a Mattel black plastic base waist gripping stand and Certificate of Authenticity.
