The Rachel Blanchard celebrity doll portrays her at 20 years old in the role of high school student Cher Horowitz in the 1996-1999 TV sitcom Clueless based on the 1995 movie Clueless.  Mattel released the Clueless TV show dolls in 1996 for a retail price around $18 each.

The TV series was based on the 1995 movie Clueless with Alicia Silverstone staring as Cher. Blanchard was offered the role when Silverstone declined for scheduling reasons. This doll is sometimes sold in the used market as an Alicia Silverstone celebrity doll, but it is not. While their look is similar by casting, the doll could really be either visually especially viewing Blanchard at the old broadcast 640 X480 resolution  The box clearly shows Blanchard in the photos and the doll was merchandise for the television series not the more popular movie.

Blanchard is a Canadian actress who got her start as a child in a MacDonalds commercial and Canadian children’s TV.   She moved on to many movie roles and other television sitcoms in Canada, US, and UK .

The Clueless TV series collection of character dolls includes Cher Horowitz(Rachel Blanchard), Stacey Dash(Dionne Davenport) and Elisa Donovan(Amber Mariens). Dash and Donovan played their same roles in the movie.

The Rachel Blanchard Clueless doll has a light blue corduroy knit suit.  The jacket is tailored and has six white decorative buttons in rows giving it a double breasted look.  It opens in the front and has two faux pocket flaps and cuffs. The simple mini skirt opens in the back with a Velcro closure.  Underneath the jacket is a sleeveless glittered blue over white layered cropped knit shirt. A blue satin floppy hat with satin bow covers her hair and full white sparkle nylon stocking cover the legs with closed white heeled shoes.

The accessories include a white hairbrush, black plastic 90s style cellphone, a light blue feathered white plastic pen, and a pink plush teddy bear backpack. The backpack opens with a zipper in the back and has a blue human sized plastic ring tucked inside.

The dolls face is painted with bright blue eyes with light blue and purple eye shadow and hot pink open mouth lips. She has plastic white pearl earrings and matching ring on her right ring finger. Rooted hair is blonde and waist length,.

Articulation is at the neck, shoulders, waist (twists), hips and click bend knees. The soft legs have a high-heeled foot and the underwear is painted on white with molded Bs.
