The Christina Aguilera celebrity doll depicts as her 20 year old self, an American singer. The doll was made by Yaboom, Inc. in 1999. This is the Genie in a Bottle: Fashion Collectors version. The museum also has the Song Collectors version in the collection, which is the singing version.
The doll comes wearing the orange, white and turquoise outfit Aguilera wears in the beach dancing scenes in the second half of the “Genie in a Bottle ” music video. The shirt is a white halter top with long turquoise fringe hanging down from the front neckline. There is a Velcro opening in the back for easy removal. The bottom is a pair of orange nylon pants with black ties around the elastic waist and silver button down near the outside bottom of the legs, also removable. The doll comes with a pair of blue and white sneakers with white laces and soles.
The face is painted with blue eyes and red lips with a slight toothy smile. The hair is styled with shoulder length straw like blonde curled under cut.
White the box says the says the doll is fully articulated, it is very limited by current standards. The neck (rotates and tilts slightly), shoulders (back and forth only), waist (twists all the way around), hips (back and forth only), and knees( 2 clicks to 80 degrees back. The torso, arms, wrists, and angles are fixed. The feet are typical Barbie doll style pointed toe.
